Midlands unlikely to see snow, says Met Eireann

Snow is no show

The possibility of the midlands seeing the first snowfall of winter has been deemed unlikely in the latest Met Eireann update.

Just 24 hours after forecaster, John Eagleton had suggested there could be snow showers across the country, Met Eireann is stressing that most of the wintry weather will be confined to the west and north west.

On Friday afternoon, there were reports of snowfall in Tyrone but Met Eireann believe it will not extend to the midlands or the east of the country. However, temperatures are set to dip and widespread rain is expected early next week.
