June bank holiday looks to be a washout

I know the arrival of the June bank holiday is imminent, and it's supposed to be Summer, but nobody told the weather that it seems.

The outlook for the long weekend is changeable, with heavy wind and rain, but also the odd sunny spell!

Friday will start fresh and breezy with widespread rain according to Met Éireann. By evening however, this will have cleared, with sunshine and temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees Celcius.

Saturday will start out bright and sunny, but wet and breezy weather will extend to all areas by the afternoon, persisting overnight. Highs of 12 - 14 degrees.

Sunday, again, will begin bright, but later on in the day showers will develop. A spell of wet and windy weather will develop overnight.

And finally, on bank holiday Monday, it will be cloudy with more wind and rain.
