Eason confirms Mullingar closure
The management of the Eason franchise in Mullingar which closed on Wednesday say that they are looking for an alternative location for the store.
There was widespread surprise in Mullingar on Thursday morning when it emerged that store, which opened almost five years ago in the old Dunnes Store building on Pearse Street, had closed its doors for the last time.
The management have posted a statement on its shutters saying that despite their “best efforts” at extending the lease on the building, they were "Âforced"Â to close on March 30.
"We are looking for an alternative premises and hope to be back open again soon. All returns, gift cards and deposits will be fully honoured...We sincerely wish to thank you for your loyal support, custom and friendship over the last four years and nine months.”
