Spotted: three rare Pokemon hunters!

 

Around Mullingar Town Park is a good place to find Pokemon – but even better is the Joe Dolan Bridge, where – it is claimed – one “hunter” captured five!

We got the full low down from Pokemon hunters Louis McCullagh, Mark Cairns and Jason Reilly, who were out in today (Tuesday's) glorious sunshine, on a mission to collect as many of the virtual creatures as they can.

Mark is a “veteran”, having been chasing Pokemon for two days now – and he's already captured 60, although he traded back 20 that were duplicates, in order to buy “candy” to feed his Pokemon.

Jason reckons this is how the summer will be spent: chasing Pokemon around Mullingar, and Louis is hoping that for his birthday – in a couple of days – he will get a smartphone so he can catch up!

“There's loads of people at it,” says Louis, explaining that Mark is the one who got the frenzy going locally.
