Westmeath's hurlers helping the homeless in Dublin

Westmeath hurlers were in Dublin tonight distributing hot meals to the homeless in Grafton Street.

The hurlers from the county’s U21 and senior teams, as well as management, decided to forego a post training or post match meal apiece, and to ask the Annebrook House Hotel – which normally supplies the meals – to prepare 70 meals for homeless people in Mullingar and Dublin.

Annebrook proprietor Bertie Dunne bumped up the number of meals so there were 120 available, and The Annebrook House Hotel this evening shared this photo showing  hurlers collecting the meals for delivery to Dublin.
