One man charged in connection with Mullingar cannabis seizure

Gardaí nabbed €25,000 worth of cannabis herb and arrested one man last night - Wednesday - during a search at a house at Ardleigh Vale.

According to the gardaí, the search was made as part of an on-going operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs.

At approximately 6pm, the planned search was made and Gardaí attached to the Westmeath Divisional Drugs Unit arrested a man, 26 years, at the scene.

He was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Mullingar Garda Station. The male was charged and will appear before Mullingar District Ct this morning the 2nd February 2017.
