Courageous young mother loses battle with cancer

A courageous young mother from north Westmeath has lost her brave battle with cancer.

Claire Graham, one of the Ginnells from Ballymanus, was diagnosed last year with an aggressive form of breast cancer.

Claire was receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment, while also nursing her son Harley through his own fight against cancer.

Claire was living in Dublin with her husband Declan.

She had great assistance from the charity Verrico, who took her to England to see a consultant.

The north Westmeath community had also done a huge amount to support Claire and several fundraising events were held in her name.

We would like to express our sympathy to Claire’s family and her many friends.
