A large number of homes around Mullingar are still without electricity in the wake of yesterday's storm, Ophelia.

The ESB Networks site reveals that there remains an issue in the Ballinderry area that is affecting over 200 homes, and there are also houses without power in the Ballynagall area and around Gaybrook.

There are also problems in the Kinnegad and Clonard areas, and around Ballinabrackey, and near Tyrrellspass in the Tore area, and in Kilbeggan and Rostella.

Also without power are a number of houses in Delvin and in The Downs area and there are homes around Crookedwood affected as well as at Multyfarnham and Killare.
