Sarah McCormack, Anne Melly, Noirin Abbott and Mary Kerrigan of Soroptimists Mullingar and District are hoping for a good turnout at the traditional annual Christmas charity fundraising lunch, this Friday, December 1, in The Greville Arms Hotel.

Soroptimists' invite to their Christmas fundraising lunch

Lunch being served from 12.30pm to 3.30pm today.

Soroptimists Mullingar and District are all set for their annual Christmas charity fundraising lunch, which has become one of those events not to be missed.

It is an ideal event for a Christmas lunch out with friends, club-mates or office colleagues, and it being held on December 1 makes it a great start to the countdown to Christmas.

This is a buffet style Christmas lunch with a mulled wine reception, in a relaxing setting and noted for its wonderful raffle prizes.

Don’t miss this start to your Christmas – whether it is just a lunch out with a friend or two or a bigger grouping, it is an ideal occasion while at the same time supporting the charity work of Soroptimists Mullingar and District. Contact any Soroptimist for tickets, get your tickets from The Greville Arms Hotel, or call Marian on 087 6165705 or Sarah on 086 2552720.

Lunch is available any time from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

(The name Soroptimist was coined from the Latin soror meaning sister, and optima meaning best. Soroptimist is perhaps best interpreted as ‘the best for women’.

The first Soroptimist club was founded in Oakland, California, in 1921, and there are some 3,000 clubs worldwide now.)
