Fr Ray Kelly to appear on Britain's Got Talent tonight

TONIGHT: Fr Ray on Britain's Got Talent

Singing priest Fr Ray Kelly, Parish Priest in Oldcastle and a native of Tyrrellspass, will take to the Britain's Got Talent stage tonight in the last of the live semi-finals.

He has revealed that his song will pay tribute to his late sister Regina McMahon who passed away from oesophageal cancer in 2016 at the age of just 59.

Fr Ray sang REM's Everybody Hurts for his first audition back in April, with Simon Cowel calling it one of his "favourite auditions".

The 65-year-old first grabbed the attention of worldwide audience when his rendition of Hallelujah, which he sang during a wedding ceremony, went viral four years ago.

Tonight's semi-final audition will be live in front of 4,000 people at London's Hammersmith Apollo. You can tune in on TV3 at 7.30pm, followed by the results show at 9.30pm..
