Caroline McGrath has been running Jasmine Design on Mount Street, Mullingar, for 16 years now and is a specialist in accessorising the bride and her bridal party.

“We have people coming from all over Ireland and further afield to shop for their wedding day in Jasmine,” says Caroline. “We buy pieces from all over the world, including the States, Israel, and of course Irish designers as well.

“Pearls are hugely popular with brides, and gold is coming back into fashion. Lately we’re finding that sets of jewellery, including the earrings, necklace and matching bracelet, are all the rage now. We have an extensive collection of hair accessories and combs.

“It’s a hugely personal thing shopping for your jewellery, and people can go for either the ultra modern look or vintage jewellery. We offer an image consultancy here, and usually we encourage people to bring a photo of their wedding dress, so we can find the perfect accessories to set it off.
