Time is ticking away, only a short time left to enter the Delvin Garradrimna Short Story Competition 2016. Whether you're an experienced writer or just starting it out as a hobby, we want you to enter!

How to Enter:
There two categories – senior and junior – and stories mustbe between 1,500 and 2,000 words, beginning with the line:
‘The street remained vacant…’
To enter your short story, email it to digital@celticmediagroup.com with the subject line "2016 Short Story Comp" or post it to Short Story Competition, Westmeath Examiner, Blackhall Place, Mullingar, County Westmeath.
The closing date is Tuesday March 29.
Winning entries will be published in the Westmeath Examiner on Tuesday April 26. There will be first and second prizes for both categories, which will be presented at the Book Fair in Delvin on Sunday May 1 and the winning entries will be read at the fair by celebrity readers.
