Westmeath club to host Athboy Rally Sprint event

The Westmeath and District Motor Club are again hosting a quality motorsport event in Athboy this weekend - a round of the prestigious LoughranSigns.com Midland East Rally Championship.

This event will be a tarmac rallysprint event held at the Athboy Karting Centre, on the Delvin Road, Athboy on Sunday August 23. The timed runs will begin at 11am, with all competitors getting three timed runs of three laps each.

This event will see a wide variety of rally cars compete for overall and class awards as well as the all important championship points. This event will be an ideal opportunity for all the family to see rallying in a convenient location.

The Westmeath and District Club is growing every year, with plans to run three motorsport events this year. If you are interested in motorsport and want to start by helping the club run motorsport events, new members are always welcome.
