O'Brien and Ireland one game away from glory

Mullingar's Conor O'Brien and his team mates in the Irish U20 rugby team are just one game away from being crowned world champions after comfortably seeing off the challenge of Argentina in yesterday's semi-final in Manchester.

The Pumas may be a bogey side for Ireland's senior rugby team, but Nigel Carolan's young charges produced a highly impressive display to claim a place in Saturday's final with a 37 to 7 points victory.

The Irish team, which recorded an historic  victory over New Zealand in the group phase, will meet hosts England in Saturday's final.
