Angela in her 90th year was pre-deceased by her husband 22 years ago, and had an active life up to recent months. She had resided with MJ and Angela and family for over the last 2 years where she was cared for with great respect. Her removal took place from her daughter, Angela"s house on Thursday morning last for concelebrated funeral Mass in St Brigid"s Church, Boher at 12 noon and burial in adjoining cemetery. Deepest sympathy is extended to her sons, Oliver, Michael, Hugh, Seamus, Sean, Aidan and Joe, her daughters, Angela, Mary, Teresa, Bernadette, Bridget, Catherine, Anne and Geraldine, her daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Sympathy to all of her relatives living in our Community, and in a special way to M J and Angela and Family.Junior ScórSt Joseph"s and Kilbeggan/St Joseph"s were very well represented in the County Final of Junior Scór in Ballymore on Sunday the 23rd of November. Well done to all of the participants who did our Clubs proud on the day and if the hard work and determination were to go by, all of the acts should have succeeded in getting through to the next round. However we met some very stiff competition on the day and unfortunately we did not come away with any County medals this year. All of the participants in the County Final were, however, delighted when they received the news that they were to be given a special medal celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Scór.A special word of thanks has to be given to all of the children who took part in Junior Scór this year both in mini-Scór and right up to the county final. There were children from as young as three right up to the older participants who represented the Clubs in the county final. Everyone deserves thanks for the hard work and commitment they put in this year and it is a credit to the Club to have so many people eager to take part. All of the parents also have to be thanked for their support and also in making sure that participants were down in the Community Centre for the various practices night after night. Finally, without the mentors who gave their commitment to Scór we would not have been successful in reaching any county final. The mentors put in a lot of hard work coaching for several nights each week in the Community Centre over the cold winter months. The Committee is busy organizing the annual Scór party and details of this will follow shortly. In the meantime the best of luck to all of the Clubs going forward to represent Westmeath in the Leinster Semi-Finals on the 6th of December next.Dates for your DiarySaturday 6th of December Tree Lighting in HorseleapMonday 8th of December Big Card Game with €1000 in PrizesFriday 19th of December Annual Christmas Concert and Draw in Community CentreSunday 11th of January Annual Christmas PartySunday 22nd of March Confirmation Day in Clara Church at 1pm.
