Funding boost for TEAM from EBS

The local group attempting to arrange to have emergency housing accommodation for homeless people provided in Mullingar, has received a funding boost, courtesy of EBS.TEAM (Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar) is to receive funding from the new EBS Community Fund.EBS offices across the country called on communities to "Make a Difference" last December and nominate local initiatives worthy of receiving grants through the Fund, aimed at helping support causes in the local community.TEAM, who operate a drop in centre for homeless adults in Mullingar, are just one of 154 initiatives around the country that were chosen by a group of EBS members and staff who reviewed all nominations and decided on the causes to benefit from the fund.Speaking today, Robert McKenna from EBS Mullingar, said: 'EBS Building Society has been working with local communities since our foundation in 1935. The EBS Community Fund has been established to assist worthy organisations like TEAM working in towns and villages around the country.'The EBS Community Fund will continue in 2009.
