The Perfect Skins stop by The Stables

Portlaoise indie band The Perfect Skins are currently touring their new album 'A Reconstructed View' and will play The Stables Mullingar on Saturday, April 18.Earlier in the day (between 5pm and 6pm) the band will be playing a short acoustic set in E2 Music store, Mullingar as part of the Record Store Day celebrations. The Perfect Skins" new album is released through UK independent label Matchbox Recordings. This deal sees their music being distributed worldwide digitally by Universal Music. Already receiving excellent reviews, the album features twelve original songs penned by the band, which sees the Skins explore new territory in terms of sound and lyrical content. There is an honesty and integrity to this offering that seeps into your being and grows in stature with repeated listens. The first single off the album is "Lay Down" and sees the Skins merge electronic with their unique guitar driven sound. One could be misled however as the album is very eclectic, embracing many music forms, while at all times maintaining a common thread throughout. The band renowned for their live performances have succeeded here in capturing the energy of their live sound without taking away from the subtly and sparseness that intersperses these new songs.Their ability to turn their gigs into a party atmosphere quickly earned them a loyal fanbase which grew as they toured the country. In 2004 they released their debut self-produced and financed album "Superhero" which received positive reviews as did their live shows from both fans and critics alike. The Perfect Skins new album "A Reconstructed View is now available to buy from I-tunes and from select music stores across the country.
