Sympathy to all of the family at this time.AuctionThe Community Association has fixed a date of the 17th of May for the annual fundraising auction which is required as a fundraising event for the upkeep and improvement of the facilities. Therefore the support of each and every household in the localityis sought: they can help by assembling saleable goods for the auction such as farm machinery, gardening equipment, plants, household goods, etc all to be in good condition. Electrical items cannot be accepted. The organisers are hoping that everyone will start a 'spring clean' in the garage, house, attic, under the beds and all around and set aside the items.Community AssociationJust a reminder for all using the facilities of the Community Centre that the onus is on them to ensure that the lights are all turned off and the centre left clean and tidied after use and ready for the next use.Birthday GreetingsCongratulations and every good wish is extended to Edward (Neddie) Robbins, Ballinakill, Horseleap on celebrating his 90th birthday on Thursday the 9th of April which was Holy Thursday. Raffle winners were: €15, Anne Keegan; €10, Joe Malone; €10, Mick Lennon. The winners on 10 games were Aidan and Bernadette McCormack who received €40. Next on 9 games were Joe Malone and Carmel Looram who received €20. The table prize winners were Mickey Carroll and John Ward, Seamus Robbins and Liam Coolohan, Johnny Galvin and Simon Boland and each couple received €10. Well done to all of the winners and the game is continuing so please come along and support.
