The weather was fantastic which contributed no end to the enjoyment of the events by all.The success of this year"s events is due in no short measure to the financial support of sponsors and the practical help provided by those who volunteered their time over the weekend to help out in the many tasks that had to be undertaken. The organising committee would like to express its thanks and appreciation for the support and assistance provided by so many groups and individuals without whom the cycle events would not have been the huge success that they were. These include the Gardaí, Civil Defence, Order Of Malta, Lakeside Wheelers members, members of The Downs GAA club and The Downs community generally, cyclists who participated in the two events and of course all those individuals, businesses and organisations who sponsored the event.
