Coralstown Kinnegad GAA Ladies come so close in exciting final: Hard luck to Coralstown Kinnegad GAA on their narrow loss in their Senior Championship County Final against Garrycastle on Sunday.In a hard-fought encounter, the ladies' team lost out by 1-8 to 1-4. Well done to Jack and all the team who brought the community on an epic journey this year and nearly went all the way. It has given great hope for the future of ladies' football in Kinnegad.Kinnegad rounders players in Croke Park Exhibition matchAs Rounders gains renewed popularity as a GAA sport, the Coralstown - Kinnegad GAA U15 team, under the guidance of Richie Fogarty and Michael Dowling,were selected to put forward players to participate in a rounders exhibition game which took place at the interval of the All Ireland Minor Football Championship semi-final in Croke Park on August 30th. Darren Giles and Vinóg Leavy made their début at Croke Park as they participated in this exhibition game.Kinnegad Parish Golf ClassicThere will be a parish golf classic in the Co. Mass will be offered for the parish list of the dead. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed all day in Kinnegad for veneration and prayer and all are welcome to visit the parish church on Friday. The parish liturgy team meets on Monday the 7th September at 8 pm. This group plans all the parish liturgies and you are most welcome to attend. The parish centenary committee meets on Wed 9th September at 8 pm in the parochial house. The parish is involved with a week long adoration in the chapel of Ballinderry hospital and the Kinnegad time is Sunday the 6th at 8pm to Monday the 7th at 8am. Anyone who wishes to commit an hour to this rota should fill in their names at the back of the church. The parish child protection policy is now available at the parish office at 9391030 and is also posted in all the churches. The parish has asked that its local property be respected and it is there to serve the whole community, they are grateful for the offers of help they have received this week. Copies of the parish burial policy, the parish marriage policy and the parish baptismal policy are now available in all churches.The 9 am Sunday morning Mass in Clonard will take place in Kinnegad during renovation work at Clonard. Thank you to all who have returned their completed CHY2 forms to the parish office; it is of enormous benefit to the parish building and development fund. The parish office is on the grounds of the church and is open every Thursday and Friday morning from 10:30 am until 1 pm. Baptismal and confirmation certificates and signed Mass cards are available.
