There were some bargains and some high prices paid for good quality farmed, home grown and home baked produce. A sincere word of thanks to each and everyone for their support on the day. No matter what is planned it is impossible to run an event without clashing some where along the way.Annual Table QuizAgain the time is flying by and it's hard to believe that the time is approaching for the annual tablequiz and auction that Darragh Fallon and family from Creeve organise. This event is in aid of the Caring for Kids Project which helps sick and orphaned children in Ireland, Belarus and Vietnam. This event last year raised €5877 . It was as part of this project that Ciara Fallon visited the Mai Tam centre in Vietnam, while out there volunteering and will be able to give a report and show photos first hand from her experience there. The table quiz with auction will take place in Ryan's of Horseleap on Friday the 6th of November at 9pm sharp. A table of 4 is €20. Your kind support greatly appreciated.Shoe BoxesA night has been fixed for collection and filling of the shoe boxes for this area on Wednesday the 21, of October from 8pm to 10pm and we anticipate that as may as possible will be Able to come along and give a helping hand for this worthy cause.The national closing date is the 11th of November for shoe box collection in Ireland.Over the past 6 or 7 years people of this area have been involved in helping to bring a smile to children on Christmas Day. The cost for transporting of the box remains at €3 and the contents of the box are as previous.
