Lions promise style and fashion at Matt O'Donohue collection show

There will be men in black tie outfits, and ladies in the highest of style - and that's not even on the catwalk - at the Mullingar Lions Club's second annual fashion show, in The Greville Arms Hotel on October 18.The clothes on show will be from the designer Matt O'Donohoe's latest collection, and modelling the outfits will be professional models from the Celia Holman-Lee agency.Lions Club PRO, Frank Dillon, says that as with last year's show, the proceeds raised are going to Mullingar hospital: "It is for the cardiac and sport department to buy equipment for monitoring the heart rate," he says, adding that last year's funds went to buy three pieces of equipment for the hospital's paediatric unit.Matt O'Donohoe is an immensely talented designer, and the Lions Club are thrilled that for the second year in a row, he has offered the showing of his latest collection for their charity work.Tickets for the event are €20, and there will be wine served on the night, plus a great raffle featuring some fantastic prizes, including pieces from Matt's collection. Tickets can be purchased from any Lions Club member, or from the reception desk at The Greville Arms Hotel.Mullingar Lions Club has a membership of around 30, and they meet on the first Monday of every month.Since the recession broke, they have been assisting families in need around Mullingar, and in December, they will launch again their Christmas food appeal. They also undertake visitation of patients in the hospitals and nursing homes in Mullingar.
