Annebrook House Hotel proprietor Berty Dunne with chefs Pavel Levin, Kamil Ratajczak, Paul Phillips and Sebastian Novak.

Four stars in the kitchen

All The Annebrook house Hotel chefs who competed in the Chef Ireland competition at RDS last Thursday February 21 came home with medals.

The competitors had to design a dish for a chosen category, to be cooked within a certain time frame and in front of an audience, and the judges scrutinised the dishes for taste, flair, nutritional composition, hygiene and workmanship.

The Annebrook head chef Paul Phillips won a silver medal and an overall class winner in the Irish lamb category; sous chef Kamil Ratajczak won silver and second place in the ethnic cuisine category; chef de partie Sebastian Novak won bronze and took third in the open pork category; and junior sous chef Pavel Levin took bronze medal and third place in the senior pasta category.
