Charity jumpers prepare for Abbeyshrule

This group of charity parachute jumpers are raising funds for two charities – Autism Assist Dogs Ireland (AADI) and the Irish Cancer Society – with a jump this weekend in Abbeyshrule.

They have joined forces with Jump for Dreams, a non-profit fundraising group that organises events like this for children’s charities.

Anyone wishing to join in and jump on Sunday is welcome, as there are a few places left. The cost of the jump is €520, which has to be paid on or before the day – contact Dave on 087 9171313 beforehand. Also if you want a chance to win a spot prizes and support two great charities, contact Dave. A book of three tickets is €5.

The parachute jump starts on Friday evening when some of the first jumpers take the plunge at 10,000 feet.
On Saturday there is a full day of jumping followed by a barbecue at 8pm and music in the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule at 10pm.

A draw will take place as the night progresses: first prize, a hot air balloon ride for two; second, a tandem parachute skydive; third, €50 voucher for a meal in La Cucina di Angelo’s in Athlone.
The fun continues on Sunday with more parachute jumping.
