Kilbeggan company awarded €5m contract

Critical Healthcare in Kilbeggan has been awarded a €5m contract to provide emergency medical products and services to the national ambulance service.

Using an innovative web based management system developed in-house called Medlogistix, it will deliver cost savings of over 30% to the HSE, across 100 ambulance stations nationwide.

The €5m contract, which will be delivered over a 36-month period, will see an increase in staff numbers at the company, which currently employs 13 full time and two part time staff.

Managing director of the Kilbeggan company, Anne Cusack, said a that by "introducing a web based solution such as Medlogistix, one scheduled order can be placed each week, thereby reducing the administration costs incurred by the HSE and improving the overall efficiency of the National Ambulance Service."
