Some of the Westmeath Examiner team taking part in #nomakeupselfie

Send us your no-make-up selfie - or with make-up if you're a guy!

If you haven’t heard of the no-make-up selfie by now, you clearly aren’t online, haven’t been watching tv, and haven’t been reading the newspapers.
Every woman in the country seems to be taking out the cotton wool, and cleaning off the make-up, before taking a “selfie” pic, and posting it online, and then making a donation of €4 to the Irish Cancer Society by texting Pink to 50300.
Daniel O’Donnell’s wife, Majella, who has recently been battling cancer, is among those who have joined in the challenge, as have broadcaster Síle Seoige, and former Miss Ireland, Amanda Brunker.
And men are getting in on the act too - except they’re wearing make-up, and then taking the selfie and making the donation.
Now, the Westmeath Examiner is getting in on the act: we want you to send us in your no-make-up selfie - or in the case of men - your selfie with make-up.
For every one of the first forty we receive, we will make a €2 donation to the Irish Cancer Society.
Not just that - but every staff member here who refuses to take a selfie is being asked to make a donation of €5 to the fund - just to penalise them for their vanity!

Join in and help us raise as much as possible for this worthy cause.
To start the ball rolling, here are some of the selfies from the women in the Westmeath Examiner office.
