Double for James P in Ayr

The season just keeps getting better for James P Sullivan, the Streete born jockey as he clocked up an impressive double in Ayr yesterday (Monday).

James has had a busy programme over the past couple of days and he made the winners’ enclosure at the Scottish venue when powering Cono Zur to victory in the 4pm. The 4/1 favourite came home ahead of outsider Galilee Chapel.

An hour later James secured his second success of the day for the Ruth Carr stable when he pushed Mutafaakir to the front and held on by 3/4 of a length. He was returned at 9/2.

In between times, he almost snatched a third victory aboard the Ms LA Perratt trained Geanie Mac. Coming from off the pace, James was in with every chance inside the last furlong but just couldn’t catch the winner, Gold Chain who took the lead two furlongs out.
