Cold front approaching ireland this week

The mild weather we've all been enjoying lately is set to change as a cold front approaches later in the week.

Met Éireann's forecast for the next seven days looks bleak: cold, wet, windy are the three words that generally sum it up!

Rail will be heavy at times today, Monday, with temperatures staying relatively mild at around 14 degrees Celsius.

Tonight will remail blustery with scattered outbreaks of rain.

Tuesday will remain blustery but quite mild with temperatures reaching the mid teens during the day.

It will turn cooler on Wednesday and we can expect some mist and fog in the midlands.

Following another band of wet and windy weather on Thursday, a cold front is approaching the country, meaning a chilly and clear night.

With that, a bright cold day is on the cards for Friday, but there are also some rain and hail showers forecast.

The weekend looks to be milder but with that comes the rain.

It is November afterall...!
