Public meeting to discuss windfarm application

In response to news that Coole Wind Farm Ltd have erected a site notice on Clonsura Bog stating their intention to apply for planning permission to erect 175m high turbines, there Cllr Una D’Arcy has called a public meeting - to be held in Hotel Castlepollard on Monday June 12 at 8pm.

“I would ask anyone who is concerned about this process getting under way come along to this meeting, where we can develop a plan of action and measure the community response,” said Cllr D’Arcy.

“The plans are likely to be available to view in County Buildings in Mullingar either by late Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning.”
