Mullingar Town Band Celtic Crusaders win All Ireland title

Mullingar Town Band, Celtic Crusaders, won the All Ireland Marching Band Finals at the weekend, for their first time in their 138 year history.

The competition was part of a European league of competitions run by Drum Corps Europe and Saturday’s event at Castletown Geoghegan was the All Ireland Finals of the league.

The competition was hosted by Mullingar Town Band and Castletown Geoghegan GAA Club who provided the venue and pitch for the day.

In competition were the final top three bands in the Irish Marching Bands Association (IMBA) League: Inbhear Mor Performance Ensemble, Vikings Drum Corps and Celtic Crusaders (Mullingar Town Band).
