Loading the Team Hope shoeboxes

More than 6,000 shoeboxes were loaded into a container this morning on behalf of the local branch of Team Hope.

The people doing the lifting and loading were glad to have a reason to keep moving for the morning that was in it.

But their real motivation, of course, is helping children in Africa who live in orphanages or on the street.

The container being loaded at Lough Sheever corporate park this morning was going on to Drogheda to be filled out, and then to Rwanda, Burundi and Malawi, where they will be with needy children for Christmas.

The boxes each contain school supplies and soap as well as clothes and treats.
