Pink Ribbon campaign is next Friday

The Irish Cancer Society’s annual fundraising campaign specifically targeting the fight against Breast Cancer takes place on Friday October 5.

More than 3,100 women in Ireland will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. It’s a frightening and worrying time.

One in every 10 women are at risk of breast cancer.

They are our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and neighbours.

The Irish Cancer Society wants to ensure that no one has to go through breast cancer alone.

This October you can help support women fighting breast cancer by funding new research and support services.

You can show you support them by buying a pink ribbon on October 5.

All money raised will help fund the society’s free support services to ensure no one faces their cancer alone.

The Irish Cancer Society invests your donations in lifesaving breast cancer research.

This research is improving the outcomes for women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Now 86% of women are surviving their breast cancer diagnosis for more than five years.

Volunteers will be selling ribbons throughout Mullingar on the day, so please support this worthy cause.

If you want to get involved and help out on the day, contact the Irish Cancer Society at 01 2310500.
