European swimming stars back home

Kevin Kennedy and David Hogg are back at home following a successful outing to the Down Syndrome European Swimming Championships 2019.

The duo, their families, friends and clubmates at the Mullingar Jets are all delighted with their performances.

Kevin secured five personal best (PB) times and is now ranked 10th in Europe for the 100m butterfly.

David secured four personal best times and won a silver medal in his category for the 200m breaststroke and is ranked 10th in that discipline.

Both swimmers have now qualified for the World Games in Turkey – no pressure lads!

Mullingar Jets would like to congratulate the boys on representing their families, club, country and Down Syndrome Games with grace, dignity and respect! “We are very proud of these boys,” said a club spokesperson.
