At our best, during the worst of times
Covid-19: Community Directory
In response to the coronavirus crisis community groups, sporting clubs, individuals and businesses have stepped up to the mark to support the most vulnerable in our community.
Across the county groups have been formed to deliver essentials such as shopping, medication or fuel to people who are self-isolating.
Not only do community efforts like this hopefully slow the spread of coronavirus, they also ensure that even if people are self-isolating, they do not feel isolated from their community.
Well done to all involved.
Here are a number of the groups operating in the county. If you would like to add your group to the community directory, please email: news@westmeathexaminer.ie or send us a message on Facebook.
Also, the more good news stories we have at the moment the better, so if something happens in your locality that you think will lift people's spirits at this dark time, please let us know.
