Westmeath Barnardos appeal reaches climax this week

An effort to raise funds for a Covid-19 appeal by children’s charity Barnardos reaches its climax this week.

Friends Mel French and Lisa McGrath and their children Trian, Fionn and Molly, from the Streete-Lismacaffrey area, are doing a 10k this Sunday May 17 with teddies to raise money for baby boxes, food parcels and children’s play and activity packs for Westmeath Barnardos’ Covid-19 crisis appeal for children.

The 10k will be run, walked and cycled from their respective homes, adhering to all current Government guidelines.

The money will go directly to Westmeath children in need. Any support for the initiative would be greatly appreciated.

Mel, Lisa, Molly, Trian and Fionn are targeting €1,200, and at the time of writing, over €1,000 has been raised, but further contributions would be greatly appreciated.

The Facebook donation page can be found here, and you have until Wednesday to vote.
