Mullingar hospital has third highest 'Trolley Watch' number

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation daily survey, Trolley Watch, has counted 15 patients on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar today.

All 15 patients are in the Emergency Department.

The Mullingar number is the third the highest in the country today.

The largest number of patients on trolleys is 31, at Cork University Hospital.

The number at University Hospital Limerick is 18.

There number at Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore is zero.

Nationally, there are 109 patients on trolleys, 99 of whom are in Emergency Departments, and one of whom is younger than 16, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
