Mum issues heartfelt plea on missing son's birthday

Mum of Peter Wilson who disappeared in Tenerife in March 2019, issued a heartfelt plea on his 34th birthday.

The dad-of-two was last seen on March 23 in the popular holiday resort walking towards beach leisure strips in the tourist hotspots of Costa Adeje and Playa de Las Américas.

The Rochfortbridge man has not been seen since.

Last week, on the day of his birthday, mum Jacky said:

"Waking up again this morning to a pain and emptiness in my heart as I do every morning but especially this morning on the 34th birthday of our son, his second one away from home since he vanished without trace on his second day into his holiday on the Island of Tenerife.

"Just broke our heart last week to see our granddaughter clutching her daddy's cushion to her chest in a sleepover at ours (the reverse has a picture of him and her on it) can't imagine what's going through her little mind as she going to sleep missing her daddy's arms around her and kissing her goodnight.

"We are begging and pleading again to anyone who knows anything about Peters disappearance [to] please, please do the right thing and give us closure. That's all we ask just answers nothing else.

"Someone somewhere has to have seen him after he left [the] hotel that night or if you're out there Peter please just pick up a phone or send a message just to let us know you're alive and ok PLEASE.

"Happy birthday son wherever you are."
