Family raise funds in memory of late mother

Fiona Fallon from Dysart, Mullingar wanted to give something back to those who helped her mother, Geraldine, before she passed away earlier this year.

Fiona is raising money for the South Westmeath Hospice in memory of Geraldine.

Geraldine was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. Unfortunately, in May 2020, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and she passed away on August 30.

Fiona said: “The South Westmeath Hospice provided valuable night nursing care to my Mum in her last few weeks.

“I’d like to raise money to support the hospice in providing a night nursing service to other patients suffering from terminal cancer, and indeed other terminal diseases.

“The night nursing service gave my family peace of mind.

“We could not have kept Mam at home if it wasn’t for their support at night time and we as a family are so grateful to the hospice.

“Thank you to everyone so far for your kind donations.”
