Footpath repairs promised near St Loman’s GAA pitch

Repairs are to be carried out to a broken footpath at St Loman’s GAA as part of ongoing Active Travel works, following a question raised at the October meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad.

Cllr Aoife Davitt asked if the municipal district could repair the damaged stretch, which she described as a new footpath.

In response, the District Office confirmed that repairs would be carried out as part of the Active Travel works currently under way.

Cllr Davitt also raised the condition of Tigh Munna Graveyard, asking if the grass could be cut.

The District Office said arrangements would be made to cut the grass within the following four weeks.

In a third question, Cllr Davitt asked about providing a short section of footpath from the junction off the Castlepollard Road into Robinstown Cottages.

The District Office said the proposed extension, linking the existing footpath to the L57041, would be considered as part of the 2027 works estimates.
