Turning mild and wet as low pressure continues to drive the weather pattern

Today will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain in east and north Leinster at first.

Met Éireann says this rain will clear away to the northeast this morning and will be followed by scattered showers and sunny spells.

Some showers will be heavy with a risk of hail and isolated thunderstorms.

A blustery day with moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly winds, strong near coasts. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

Tonight there will be scattered showers in west and northwest Leinster, but showers will be isolated elsewhere.

Some showers in western areas will be heavy with a risk of hail and isolated thunderstorms.

Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees with moderate to fresh and gusty south to southwest winds, strong near the coast.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be a cool and blustery day with sunny spells and showers.

The showers, some of them heavy and prolonged with hail and isolated thunderstorms, will mostly affect northwest Leinster during the morning, but will extend to all areas during the afternoon.

Moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly winds will persist and will be strong near coasts. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.
