Pumpkins appear for starlit Halloween walk in Fore

A starlit walk in Fore was brightened by the appearance of dozens of carved pumpkins along the looped walk this evening. The Nancy to Nelly part of St Fechin’s Trail was filled with carved heads, and hundreds of flickering candles, hidden sweets, tiny witches, scary clowns and lumpy monsters.

The coffee shop stayed open and Ned’s Forge re-visted its foundry heritage with blazing fire pits, giving the village a real Samhain sensation, but the Abbey House was spook central as children dropped carved pumpkins there from early in the day to be placed strategically on the looped walk.
