Profits from Pewter Café birthday event donated to Ukraine charities

A beautiful spring day is shining on The Pewter Café at Mullingar Pewter for its second birthday today.

The cafe opened this day two years ago, and was only open for 10 days before the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions forced it to close again.

The team there stuck to their plans though, and the cafe is now trading successfully and attracts large numbers of regular customers.

Today, for its second birthday, all profits from the coffee shop are being donated to charities supporting the humanitarian efforts for the people of Ukraine.

So if you fancy a walk on the Royal Canal Greenway, right next to the cafe at The Downs, and would like to help a good cause, drop in.
