Arts support scheme returns for spring 2022

Local Live Performance Programme Scheme III / 2022

Following its success over the Christmas 2021 period, Westmeath County Arts Office is looking forward to a third scheme of the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme from the spring and running until the end of June.

Over those months, Westmeath will witness a varying range of performances from music events to dance to storytelling and lots more.

The scheme is funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and is intended to support the recovery of the live performance sector through assisting local authorities to fund performances and events by local artists, musicians, technicians and other professional practitioners.

Between the end of November and the end of December last year, Westmeath County Council Arts Office funded more than 120 artists, who performed at varying live events throughout the country.

In the coming weeks, the arts office will announce a list of live performance events to engage a wide audience throughout the towns and villages in Westmeath. To keep up to date on a list of events, visit the Westmeath Local Live Performance Facebook Page.
