Kilbeggan Organic Foods in line-up at Bord Bia Bloom

Westmeath is to be represented by the firm Kilbeggan Organic Foods at the Food Village running over the five days of the annual Bord Bia Bloom festival at Dublin’s Phoenix Park.

The celebrated outdoor festival, now in its 16th year, will be held in-person from Thursday June 2 to Monday June 6 following two successful virtual #BloomAtHome events.

The Kilbeggan Organic Foods farm has passed down through six generations of the Lalor family, starting in 1844. The firm produces organic oats, and oat cookies, and will join 80 other artisanal producers at the Food Village.

This year 19 show gardens will form the centrepiece of Bord Bia Bloom. The gardens are sources of inspiration, and of entertainment through imaginative story-telling, creative concepts and addressing local and global issues such as the environment, human health, sustainable food production and housing.

As always, the Food Village is set to be a hive of activity with more than 80 food and drink producers showcasing the best of Irish produce; from chocolate to smoked salmon, cheese to beetroot juice, artisan sausages, fresh vegetables and meats, coffee and jams – it will be a feast for the senses! The Bloom Inn will offer the finest craft brews and spirits from all over the country.
