Emphasis at The Market Clonmellon on quality artisan food

The Market Clonmellon marks its second birthday on Sunday next, July 17 (11am-1.30pm) at the Old Market Square, Clonmellon, C15 DK6E, and every second Sunday after that.

The emphasis has always been on providing good quality artisan food and local, where possible. The vast array of creative, arts and craft stallholders, which differ at each market, has allowed locals and visitors an opportunity to browse and also support many of the new start ups and also established stallholders.

There will be 30 stallholders including food producers Killua Food venison, Pat Dempsey Jams, Bellingham Blue Cheese, Sean Nua Farm, Betty and Nancy Home Baking, Backyard Bakery. Borara Bakery, La Castrilena Olive Oil, The Gluten Free Bakery, Bia Sol, Local strawberries and vegetables, jams, Mary Ellen cordials and more.

Orders can be placed in advance directly with the food producer for any products and collected on the day. Hot and cold food includes Killua Foods venison burgers and sausages, Froggy Crepes and Virginia Sushi Mania. Free face painting for the children.

Those attending can enter their names in a free draw in a raffle for hampers. Joan and Paula, on behalf of Clonmellon Community Council, would like to thank the stallholders and customers for their ongoing support throughout the last year and look forward to seeing you all on Sunday 17 July.

See the Market Clonmellon Facebook and Instagram pages for other details and updates.

Clonmellon Pride of Place

On the theme of Pride of Place, when you take a walk around the village you will find a wonderful display of beautiful flowers in gardens, and there is a collage of photos on these pages in the Examiner that show how much colour you will find.
