Met Eireann expects 'disruption' as weather takes a turn for the worse

The pleasant summery conditions we've been enjoying this week are set to change significantly from tomorrow (Friday) evening, Met Eireann has warned.

The national meteorological service today issued a 'weather advisory' for the coming days, saying wet and windy weather threatens to cause disruption this weekend.

The weather advisory will come into effect at 7pm on Friday and will remain in place until 7pm on Monday. Weather warnings for the coming days could also be issued, Met Eireann has indicated.

The "very unsettled spell" is set to continue well into next week, with a low pressure weather system in charge over Ireland.
