Buíoch and Briste remember the fleadh

‘Remember the Fleadh’ on Thursday November 10 at Mullingar Arts Centre does what it says in the name – it’s a gig four months on from the big event, and there will be another one in four months’ time.

This one features the bands Buíoch and Briste. Briste were formed at the end of 2015 by Ulster ladies Alison Crossey, Emma Robinson and Joanna Boyle, and since then they have taken their fresh sound to many festivals and venues across the globe.

They have also been involved in TV programmes such as BBC’s ‘Trad Ar Fad’ and TG4’s ‘Oíche na mBan’, playing alongside artists such as BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year Ríoghnach Connolly, Country singer Lisa McHugh, Pop singer Una Healy and the fantastic John McSherry Band and many more. The trio recently recorded their debut album Sidetracked.

Beidh an grúpa Buíoch - as Co Laoise - ag casadh ceoil dúinn freisin. Bain sult as Dave Harte ar an ndord, Ruairí Tierney ar an mbosca, Laura Doherty ar an bhfidil, Kurt Dineen Caroll ar an bhfeadóg agus Dale McKay ar an ngiotar.
