“We at Scoil an Chlochair are proud to say that we have a big international community of children attending the school, and this is how we celebrate our thriving community,” said a spokesperson for the school.

This was the second year of the event, and the nationalities featured on the day included families from Poland, Brazil, Afghanistan, India, Philippines, Slovakia, Kosovo, South Africa, Malawi, America, Wales, England, Scotland, Latvia, Lithuania, Syria, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Nepal, and The Netherlands, whose children all attend the school.

“On the day we hosted an open day for all parents from lots of different backgrounds, who set up stalls showcasing crafts, musical objects, and costumes from each country.

“As well as that, we traditional food and drinks to sample, and there was also music from each country, and some Irish dancing of course,” said the spokesperson.
