St Kenny NS pupils meet rugby superstars and play on Aviva pitch

Sixth class pupils at St Kenny NS took part in the Aldi Play Rugby Festival in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday of last week, June 6.

They played tag rugby on the pitch against other primary schools from across the country.

They also enjoyed a tour of the home dressing room and saw the Six Nations trophy and Triple Crown Shield, and they met Jamison Gibson-Park and Paul O’Connell, who signed autographs and posed for pictures with the children.

Kevin Boyle, sixth class teacher, and the pupils thanked their tag rugby coach Clare O’Brien, Mullingar CCRO (club community rugby officer), for organising the trip and giving giving them the opportunity.
