Top country stars to shine at summer concert in Midlands
A line-up that includes some of Irish country music's most instantly recognisable names will ensure that the summer of 2023 sees one of its brightest nights at the Tullamore Court Hotel on July 25th next.
Billy Morrissey's 'The Stars of Irish Country' concert will see household names like Trudi Lalor and TR Dallas join folk icon Mick Foster of Foster and Allen fame - accompanied by Moyra Fraser - plus the stellar talents of The Wrafter Family Band, singer/songwriter Gerry Guthrie, and more for a night that has everything needed to be a 'Show of the Year' contender for music fans.
"No-one has forgotten what it was like when our entertainers couldn't do what they do best, and love most," said Billy, one of Irish country's top songwriters as well as being one of the genre's leading promoters.
"So any time we have the privilege of putting a show together now, there's an even greater sense of celebration than there always would have been anyway", continued the Tipp man, adding, "And this will certainly be the case in Tullamore in a few weeks time".
With a bill featuring some of Ireland's most naturally gifted entertainers, Billy's confidence in a night to remember being on the way is certainly well-founded. And concert-goers with similar expectations of just such a night are unlikely to be disappointed with Laois native Trudi Lalor - one of Irish country's most prominent vocalists - being one of the night's star attractions.
Trudi, who is also the editor of the hugely popular RSVP Country magazine, has just released her brand new single, 'Blaze of Glory'. Available now on all digital platforms and to request at radio nationwide, the song features the legendary Sandy Kelly and Galway's very own neon queen, Sabrina Fallon.
The full line-up for the July 25th concert in Tullamore is Trudi Lalor, Mick Foster, Moyra Fraser, TR Dallas, Mick Flavin, The Wrafter Family Band, Gerry Guthrie, and Olivia Douglas, all backed by the fabulous Matrimony band.
